Contact Sheet collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.
Nothing. Contact Sheet does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that belongs to us.
Your frames are written to this app's private storage on this device, as image files in its own database. They are not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not shared with anyone. Development also happens here: the response curve, grain, halation and quirks of a film stock are calculated on your phone, over your own frames. If you uninstall the app, the frames go with it, so the app lets you save any developed frame at full size, and any whole contact sheet, to your device at any time.
Contact Sheet does not request the INTERNET permission. It cannot send your data anywhere, because Android will not let it open a network connection at all. This is verifiable in the app's manifest on the Play listing.
Contact Sheet is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
There are none. Contact Sheet contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporter. It does not use an advertising ID.
Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing held about you to access, correct or delete on a server. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device. Any in-app export gives you a copy of your own content in an open format.
Between the shutter and eight the next morning, a frame is held on the device and is not displayed anywhere in the app. That is a rule the app keeps, not a cryptographic guarantee: the file sits in the app's private storage like any other app data, and a person with physical access to an unlocked, rooted device could read it. What the app promises is that it will not show it to you, and it does not.
The develop notice names the roll, the film stock and the number of exposures. It never contains an image.
Saving a frame or a sheet writes a file to your device's Downloads through Android's own media store. Sharing hands that file to the app you pick from the Android share sheet. From that point the file is governed by whatever you shared it with, not by us.
Settings has an Erase everything control that deletes every roll, every frame and every setting from the device immediately. There is no copy anywhere else.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
