deAIfy is a free tool that cleans AI writing tells out of your text. The short version: the app has no servers of its own and collects nothing about you.
deAIfy has no backend and no analytics. The developer does not collect, store, receive, sell, or share any personal information, usage data, or the text you enter. There are no accounts, no ads, no trackers, and no telemetry.
The default cleanup (removing em dashes, curly quotes, hidden characters, and filler words) runs fully on your device and offline. The text you paste is processed locally and never leaves your device.
deAIfy has an optional Pro mode that rewrites text with a large language model. It is off by default and only works if you add your own API key for a third-party provider (Anthropic or OpenAI).
When, and only when, you choose to rewrite text in Pro mode, that text is sent directly from your device to the provider you selected, using your own key. The developer of deAIfy is not in the middle of this request and never receives, sees, logs, or stores your text or your key. That request is governed by the chosen provider's own privacy policy:
If you add an API key, it is stored locally on your device only: on Android in the encrypted Android Keystore, and on the web in your own browser's storage. Your key is never transmitted to the developer. You can delete it any time from the app's Settings screen.
The app uses internet access only for the optional Pro mode (to reach the AI provider you chose) and, on the web, to load the app itself. The free cleanup needs no network.
deAIfy does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
