Doorway collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.
Nothing. Doorway does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that belongs to us.
Places, surveys, answers, photographs, lists, your needs lens and your last position are stored in this app's private storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. A pack leaves the phone only when you export one yourself and choose where to send it.
Doorway does not request the INTERNET permission. It cannot send your data anywhere, because Android will not let it open a network connection at all. This is verifiable in the app's manifest on the Play listing.
Doorway is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
There are none. Doorway contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporter. It does not use an advertising ID.
Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing held about you to access, correct or delete on a server. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device. Any in-app export gives you a copy of your own content in an open format.
The modules and thresholds you set describe your access needs, which is health adjacent information. Doorway keeps it local by architecture rather than by promise: it is never transmitted, and it is deliberately excluded from every pack you export, so sharing places with a friend never shares your needs.
Doorway does not detect faces. It cannot honestly claim to, because it carries no model to do it with. Instead the review screen gives you a blur brush, and the pixels you paint over are destroyed before the photograph is written to storage. Photographs stay on the device unless you deliberately include them in a pack you export.
A pack is a plain JSON file containing the places, their surveys, and the name you chose to sign it with, which can be left blank. Your lens, your position and your settings are not in it. Once you send the file, where it goes is up to you and the app has no further part in it.
The eight places offered on first run are invented for demonstration. They are not real businesses, the measurements are not measurements of anywhere, and the whole sample can be removed in one tap.
