Greenroom collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.
Nothing. Greenroom does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that belongs to us.
Recordings are written to this app's private storage on your phone. The analysis of each take, your speeches, your scripts and your settings sit beside them in the same private storage. None of it is uploaded, because the app does not hold the internet permission and Android will not let it open a connection at all. If you uninstall Greenroom, all of it goes with the app, so there is an export in Settings and a WAV export on every take.
Greenroom does not request the INTERNET permission. It cannot send your data anywhere, because Android will not let it open a network connection at all. This is verifiable in the app's manifest on the Play listing.
Greenroom is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
There are none. Greenroom contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporter. It does not use an advertising ID.
Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing held about you to access, correct or delete on a server. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device. Any in-app export gives you a copy of your own content in an open format.
The analysis is arithmetic that runs inside the app: loudness over time, syllable peaks, silences, and the pitch of your voice measured against its own centre. There is no speech recognition, no transcript and no server anywhere in it. Greenroom cannot send a recording to be processed because it cannot send anything at all.
Settings has a switch called Keep the recording. With it off, Greenroom measures a take and then throws the audio away, keeping only the notes and the charts. There is also a Clear audio button that deletes every stored recording in one go.
Export writes a WAV file of one take, or a JSON file of every speech, take and measurement, to your Downloads folder through the system file writer. Nothing is sent anywhere; the file is yours to move.
Greenroom is a practice tool for speaking. It does not diagnose anything, it does not treat anything, and it is not a substitute for care from a professional.
