Heirloom collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.
Nothing. Heirloom does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that belongs to us.
Recordings and the questions they answer are stored in this app's private storage on this device, in the browser database the app runs on. They are never uploaded. If you uninstall the app they are gone, which is why the Keepsake screen exists: export the whole archive as audio files with a readable manifest whenever you like, and keep that copy somewhere safe.
Heirloom does not request the INTERNET permission. It cannot send your data anywhere, because Android will not let it open a network connection at all. This is verifiable in the app's manifest on the Play listing.
Heirloom is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
There are none. Heirloom contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporter. It does not use an advertising ID.
Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing held about you to access, correct or delete on a server. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device. Any in-app export gives you a copy of your own content in an open format.
Heirloom does not transcribe, summarise or analyse what is said. No service reads your recordings, because no recording ever leaves the phone. The pauses stay in.
Record someone only with their knowledge and agreement. The app is built for a conversation between two people who both want it to happen, and it asks who is telling before it asks anything else.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
