Sentence privacy policy

Last updated 03 September 2026

Sentence collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.

What is collected

Nothing. Sentence does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that belongs to us.

Where your data lives

Your sentences are written to this device's private app storage. They are never uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. If you uninstall the app, they are gone, so the app gives you plain text, CSV and JSON export at any time.

Network

Sentence does not request the INTERNET permission. It cannot send your data anywhere, because Android will not let it open a network connection at all. This is verifiable in the app's manifest on the Play listing.

Permissions

Children

Sentence is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Analytics, ads and tracking

There are none. Sentence contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporter. It does not use an advertising ID.

Your rights

Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing held about you to access, correct or delete on a server. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device. Any in-app export gives you a copy of your own content in an open format.

Notifications

The morning notification contains text you wrote. Discreet notifications are on by default, which means the lock screen shows only which memory is waiting, never the sentence itself. You can turn that off in Settings if you would rather see the words.

Import

If you import a file, it is read on the device and written to the same local storage. The file is not copied anywhere else.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
