Slowglass Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 September 2026
Slowglass is a long exposure camera published by SocialSure Private Limited. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
Data we collect
None. Slowglass collects no personal data, no usage analytics, no crash reports and no identifiers. The app has no internet permission, so nothing it makes or records can leave your phone through it.
What stays on your phone
- Photos. Each stack, and the sharpest single frame when that setting is on, is saved as an ordinary JPEG in
Pictures/Slowglass. Delete them from Slowglass or from any gallery app.
- Session log. A small database records each session (mode, length, frame counts, stream size, lightning strike times and where the photos are) and the results of the camera check. Delete an entry in the Library, or all of them by clearing the app's storage in Android settings.
- Settings. Your defaults, such as the mode and exposure length.
- Local counts. Only if you turn them on in Settings: the number of sessions, saves and strikes, kept on the phone.
You can export the session log as a JSON or CSV file through the system file picker or share sheet, and import it on another phone. Where that file goes is your choice.
Permissions
- Camera: the app is a camera. Frames are stacked on the phone's graphics processor and never leave the device.
- Foreground service and foreground service (camera): a long exposure you start with the shutter keeps running while the screen is dimmed or you switch apps.
- Notifications: optional; shows the session time and a Stop button while a long exposure runs.
- Wake lock: held only during a session so a long star exposure survives the screen turning off.
Third parties
Slowglass contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no SDK that collects data.
Children
Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
