Wildergarden collects nothing, and it cannot read which apps you use. This page explains both, and how to check.
Nothing. Wildergarden does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that belongs to us.
Everything Wildergarden knows lives in this device's private app storage: the minutes you typed in each day, the stillness sessions you started and stopped, your settings, and the names you chose for your own feeds. None of it is uploaded, backed up to us, or shared. Uninstalling the app removes it, so the app can export the whole ledger as JSON or CSV at any time.
Wildergarden does not request the INTERNET permission. It cannot send your data anywhere, because Android will not let it open a network connection at all. This is verifiable in the app's manifest on the Play listing.
Wildergarden is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
There are none. Wildergarden contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporter. It does not use an advertising ID.
Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing held about you to access, correct or delete on a server. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device. Any in-app export gives you a copy of your own content in an open format.
This is the part people expect to be untrue, so it is worth stating plainly. Wildergarden does not request usage access, does not hold the PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS permission, and has no way to see which apps you open or for how long. Once a day it asks you for one number and takes you at your word. You can verify this on the Play listing, which lists every permission the app declares.
The app declares allowBackup="false" and excludes itself from both Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so your ledger is not copied to Google Drive or moved to a new phone behind your back. Moving a valley to another phone is the JSON export in Settings, which you do on purpose.
If you name the feeds you are trying to spend less time in, those names are stored on this device so the app's own screens read sensibly. They are not sent anywhere, and the app cannot check whether an app of that name is even installed.
There is one, it is optional, and its whole content is a prompt to close the day. Nothing about your ledger appears on the lock screen.
Photo mode draws a picture of your valley on this device and writes it to your Downloads folder if you ask it to. Where you send it after that is entirely your business.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
